The configuration data of the MuM license server is stored independently of the application's installation files.
This ensures that settings are preserved during an update.
However, if the configuration itself is causing issues, it is best to reinitialize it through the MuM license server.
This can be done in a few simple steps:
• Close the License Server Configurator
• Stop the Windows service called MuM License Server in the Windows services
• Rename the LicenceServer folder located in C:\ProgramData\MuM\ (e.g. LicenceServer_)
• Reopen the MuM License Server Configurator
This will recreate the C:\ProgramData\MuM\LicenceServer folder
• In the MuM License Server Configurator, restart the service
• Access the administration webpage of the MuM license server
• Select the Manage Serial Numbers function
• Choose the option Import license file
• Import the license files from the ServerLics folder located in the previously renamed folder (C:\ProgramData\MuM\LicenceServer_)
This will restore the licenses.
However, other adjustments to the license server, such as changing the password or creating groups, will be lost and need to be reconfigured.
Note:
If an older license server is still in use, the files are located under C:\ProgramData\acadGraph
